Kita's Gentle Message: It Really is All in the Mind (Saturday, January 11, 2014)

I read today of a 94-year-old track and field athlete.  Didn’t start the sport until she was 77.  Amazing?  Yes.  But what is more amazing is the optimistic self-talk that she has running (excuse the pun) through her mind, and how this mindfulness she is in, is affecting her body.  It’s like her cells are responding to what they are told to be and do.  Because she has an attitude of “I can do it”, fed all the more by her winnings and accomplishments, her body is acting on the given cues. …
