Kita's Gentle Message: Are You Working for Life? (Saturday, August 31, 2013)

It’s just hours away from the September schedule: rushing kids off to school; punching in at 8:15 am with a Tim Hortons in hand; squeezing in an errand during lunch break – so much for eating; taking that last-minute-before- 5 pm request that picks up from where you left off- inevitably late and stressed out to pick up the youngest from daycare; fighting traffic and finally pulling into the driveway while dodging the empty garbage bins that also need picking up… And…

Kita's Gentle Message: Telling Stories (Saturday, August 24, 2013)

Telling stories such as fairy tales to kids, helps them identify and understand concepts like good and evil within the framework of a hero who usually has to undergo a series of tests or go on a long, dangerous journey to finally achieve their goal.  We have similar stories about ourselves: going through a few jobs before we hit the one that works for us; enduring health challenges in our family that take a lot out of us; overcoming huge stresses within a…

Love's Story & New Press Release

I want to thank PA Horse Mall for posting Because of Love’s story. Without her, I wouldn’t be doing what I love; helping animals and people co-exist in harmony. It is the article I get the most comments back on. Enjoy the lovely spread at: http://pahorsemall.com/because-of-love/

I have done another press release that is about my presentation this Sat., the 26th, at “The Wisdom…

Kita's Gentle Message: 2 equals 2. Always. (Saturday, August 17, 2013)

I’m not great at math – that’s probably why I turned to writing as a viable livelihood but I do know one thing: two equals two. Always. Given this absolute, having swum twice today, I could not in clear conscience negate it. Therefore I took it upon myself to have two bowls of ice cream today as well. Two equals two. Always. Besides it’s summer.
Take care,
Kita

Latest Rave for My Latest Book!

Two weeks ago at the Pet Fest in Banner Elk, NC, I met a kindred spirit. Terri originally came from NJ where she worked with Thoroughbred horses. We talked and talked, and she went home with both of my books. I was thrilled when she wrote to me about what reading Tales of an Animal Communicator ~ Master Teachers meant to her. Her experience from reading about the most significant animals in my life was exactly what I had hoped to achieve when I…

Kita's Gentle Message: Filter with Compassion (Saturday, August 10, 2013)

Our brains are so efficient.  Past experiences, people, and situations are conveniently housed in logical categories that have been created to prevent information overload.  Categories are a first step to judgment as they demand specific characteristics by definition.  The nuances and subtleties of what make a person or situation unique are left out for efficiency’s sake.  For this reason, be open to all you meet.  Don’t dump them into a category because they or it…

Learning to Trust - a review

This is the fourth and final installment in the ‘Sacred Vows’ Series by Michelle Sutton. It continues to chronicle the lives of three individuals that we’ve met earlier in the series – Hope, Tony, and Jimmy. Hope is now a widow, and perhaps this part of the story is the most ‘romantic’ of the three threads as she embarks on a new relationship.  Tony, Hope’s former lover, has also found true love, but his relationship…

Kita's Gentle Message: It's Tough Following Your Dream (Saturday, August 3, 2013)

So easy to give in, cop out, retreat, surrender, give up, make up excuses, side with the naysayers, lose heart, lose faith, lose confidence, lose friends too, save face, compromise, …to make it easier on yourself. But your soul would know and would die a little more each day if you didn’t stay true to yourself. Keep at it, you Don Quixotes out there! I’m with you.
Take care,
Kita
