Let's Talk About Trees

I'm going to work on my tree book again after receiving several valuable critiques. It is nonfiction for middle-grade readers about trees. It will be illustrated (not by me) and especially useful in schools. If anyone would like to read/critique it, let me know. Thanks.

Kita's Gentle Message: The More I Know, the More I Don't (Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010)

A fresh insight from a friend, a new book, an engaging website, another in-depth course all serve to teach me the absolute immensity of knowledge - especially the kind of knowledge that I have yet to learn.
Makes life worth living, doesn't it?…

Taking Pride In Your Community/Sheila L. Jackson

As a community, why do we wait until outsiders come into it to tell us that it needs to be cleaned up? Why can’t we just pick up our trash, remove the broken down cars, repair or tire down the dilapidated homes that are not suitable to live in? Are we content with living in our own filth that we have…

Only The Strong Survive/Sheila L Jackson

Life is like playing your favorite sport. It’s not how well you played the game, but how you finished it. Weak players never get far in the game, only those that are stronger than their opponent advance ahead.

How long you’ve lived is not the issue, but what contributions you made in your life while here on earth. Success doesn’t always mean great financial wealth or the fine cars that you drive, but who’s life you…

APOOO Book Club Review/Through The Eyes of God

Through The Eyes of God by Sheila L. Jackson is a riveting guide that teaches you how to love yourself, your children and become a better you. We all have had our fair share of experiences with negative folks, but when we turn around and do the same things we are no better than they are. Stop speaking ill of others and be mindful that God made everyone an individual for a reason. If we were all…

Well, here I am doing what I do best and that is writing. I found another spot for me to jot down my thoughts. I am new to Book Marketing, so I am learning my way around. For those who don't know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Winona Rasheed and I am a children's writer. Not too long ago, I was interviewed by Don McCauley on the Authors Show. Boy, that was exciting. Now I am waiting for it to air so that I can tell the world about it.

Kita's Gentle Message: Dolphins - My Kind of Friend (September 11, 2010)

She swam away and then returned - coming up to each diver individually and nudging each rescuer who had helped to save her. I would like to be like that.
Take care,…
