Kita's Gentle Message; The Changing Seasons are Our Constant (Saturday, October 31, 2015)

Though fall is quickly moving into colder weather where I live, and the thought of freezing temperatures is enough to make me shiver, the comfort that one season follows the other is like reaching for that cozy blanket that keeps me warm and safe. Regardless of an uncertain economy, an unexpected outburst, unbelievable news, the sudden flat tire…the constancy of knowing and believing fall will become winter and winter, spring, gives me such assurance – and faith…

Kita’s Gentle Message: Pick and Choose (Saturday, October 24, 2015)

Pulled in every direction?  It seems there’s no shortage of what you can be doing - whether it’s work, family, friends, charity, shopping opportunity or event that’s calling out to you to be there, help out here, donate your money, visit with, contribute your time, pick up, drop off, fill in or out, your time can be someone else’s for as long as you live.  A daunting prospect – only if you don’t pick and choose how you want to spend your time.  Someone or something…

Kita's Gentle Message: Caring Instead of Widget Counting (Saturday, October 3, 2015)

"Anne-Marie Slaughter’s new book “Unfinished Business” raises an interesting point.  Taking time out to care for someone whether an elderly parent, a sick spouse or your kids as a single parent instead of staying on the job and earning a living isn’t seen as important as the latter.  Making money is valued perhaps because it is so logical and quantifiable whereas caring for others (in a non-paying capacity) is not, and therefore assumes no value in the eyes of…
