The Still small Voice
One day as you are going about your normal routine a name, a face, of someone you have not had any contact with in a long time comes briefly to mind. You think nothing of it, but within 24 hours you receive a phone call, email from this very person or encounter them unexpectedly.
As you are driving home from work a picture of a milk carton appears in your mind. Though you’ve had no communication with your… Continue

An article has given me pause to think about what happens when kids are unlike their parents – so unalike that misunderstanding, confusion and even estrangement result. So your dad’s an engineer and you’re into the arts: certainly grounds for communication gaps at times. But if there’s autism, a difference in sexual orientation or profound deafness, the gap is easily a chasm for both. If ever acceptance was called for, it would be now. And I profoundly admire… Continue

I just want to thank everyone who has allowed me to be their animals’ voice. It is so gratifying to be able to help animals and people improve their relationships though better understanding. I am blessed to love what I do. Without my family, friends, clients, and readers I wouldn’t be able to learn and share all that the animals offer us. I am especially thankful for the 4-legged men in my life, Hana, Saba, & Stormy, who keep me balanced and happy. Wishing everyone a wonderful… Continue

This book is actually four novellas written by four different authors that are woven together into one story. Although each section has its own flavor, there is still a sense of unity among the whole. Each story begins with a letter from a Georgina law firm to one of four separate women. Unknown to each of them, they are actually identical quadruplets born to a young unwed mother who died shortly after their delivery. The girls were subsequently put up for adoption, and while two of them… Continue

Consumerism has never been healthier. What with the accessories now available to be bought, hung, displayed, worn, sent, exchanged, eaten, stored, and discarded, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are commercial bonanzas for both seller and buyer. Capitalizing on holidays is something that’s been with us for a long time. Nothing new here. What is new is the promotion of a commercially-fabricated day that has nothing to do with anything but buying. I say,… Continue

Despite all of your votes, I just found out that I will not be in the Authors Show book. I want to congratulate all of the authors who were chosen. Thanks to everyone who voted for me. I truly appreciate your support. For whatever reason, it wasn’t meant to be.
Moving on; I want to invite you to my radio interview with Charmaine Hammond on PAWsitive Radio – all about pets! We will be discussing animal communication, healing, and my books…

I'm not much on history because of what I've learned in school and then on doing my own research when I became curious as an adult. I noticed that no matter what the level of Afro person in America no one is really addressing who we were before we were slaves. White people did not just come over to the land inhabited by Afro people and start taking slaves. Nor did Black people just go willingly or sell each other off (as some accounts so crudely suggest). I will briefly analyze the… Continue

A Journey or a Destination
About a week ago, in the wee hours of the morning, I found myself awake and wrestling with a statement somebody made to me that day that if our plans don’t work out as we thought they would it can only mean that we missed God or did something wrong. I know that is not all there is. There can be many factors far beyond our control that can influence outcomes. But we still feel compelled to assign “blame”,… Continue

If you’re raking the leaves, take a moment to remember; grabbing a coffee at Tim’s or Starbucks, take a moment to remember; on the way to your sister’s, take a moment to remember; in the line-up to the craft show, take a moment to remember; thinking of your good life, take a moment to remember those who made it possible.

I got mine yesterday and I have to clarify here, they're not Gucci or Ferragamo but Aasics. They're a hot magenta colour that glows in the dark and could be taken for "ruby-red slippers" any day. Taking me to Boston next April. To what delightful Oz are your shoes taking you?

The Hand Off
Hello fellow Mountain Taker. As promised here is the third, final, and for me best of my recent experiences of a few weeks ago. It has been said, and there is Biblical evidence to support it, that the Lord saves the best for the last. In the events surrounding closing up my church office I must say a hearty, “Amen!”
To recap what Father accomplished in these two days – first he freed me from an invisible soul tie to… Continue

This is a first for me. I’m usually the one receiving pleas for help. Voting has opened for the “50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading” 2012-2013 Edition contest. It’s quick and painless. Inclusion in this book with other gifted authors will really go a long way to help me spread the animals’ lessons, which will assist me in healing the human-animal bond. I truly appreciate your support. Voting is from Nov. 2 – 11. Follow this link:… Continue
